Create your own shelf.

Here is a nice tutorial on how to create your own shelf that can come in very handy for when you use a lot of the same tools in Maya.

Step 1 Click the bold down arrow in the top left corner on top of the red arrow and then go to New Shelf.

Step 2 Name your shelf.

Step 3 Now that you have your shelf go to the tool that you would like to add to your shelf. (ex hypershade) Then Click and hold cntrl+shift and then left click the tool with the mouse.

Step 4 Now if you wanted to edit your shelf just click the black arrow that you clicked on before and go to Edit Shelf.

Step 5 And if you want to switch between different shelves just click on the icon above that black arrow.
