ya you gotta love the hot keys that's all I use when I use my design programs it just makes things go a lot faster

so, i'm sharing - in case anyone is interested...

+, i'm still wondering... where do i find scan codes?... and so, does that mean i need to create my own shortcut for simple & double curly quotes on windows?

on PC: Check this option (in general preferences > type), you will not have to look up the scan code (for example, a left typographer's quote in Windows requires that you remember, and type, 0147 while holding the Alt key).

on mac: The keyboard shortcuts (for most fonts) are (Option-[) [Alt+[] and (Shift-Option-[) [Shift+Alt+[].
