Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended
The Adobe CS3 rollout will include the option of two versions of Photoshop. One for graphic artists and photographers editing traditional static images and an extended version for 3D and video editing.
As part of Adobe's announcement of the release of Creative Suite 3, the design software publisher has revealed that they will offer two versions of the image editing software, Adobe Photoshop.
Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended will cater for interactive and multimedia designers and contains features to allow the editing of of 3D and motion graphics. Of less use to most graphic designers will be a number of image measurement and workflow tools for architects, engineers and medical scientists.
Photoshop CS3 Extended will add a number of new features which will appeal to movie, video and animation designers. It adds techniques which allow multimedia graphics professionals to create 3D models and edit textures, as well as paint and clone multiple video frames. Photoshop Extended will also allow graphic designers to create and export animations from sets of static images into a variety of formats, including QuickTime, MPEG-4 and Flash Video.
Adobe recently released a public beta version of the ordinary version of Photoshop CS3 for free download. However, the full release of Adobe CS3 is expected to be sometime in the Spring of 2007 and will be available for the Apple Macintosh platform, Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Vista PCs.
